About Us

The first quarterly meeting for the association was held in the Central Jury Room of the Nueces County Courthouse on November 1, 1966 at 7:30 p.m., and was called to order by the first association President, Franklin Painter, who was a Supervisor with the Texas Liquor Control Board, in Corpus Christi, Texas.  Officers and board of directors at the inception included:

First Vice-President:  Sheriff Wayne Hitt, San Patricio Co.

Second Vice-President:  Sheriff Johnnie Mitchell, Nueces Co.

Secretary/Treasurer:  William L. Burch, Nueces Co. S.O.

Sergeant at Arms:  Texas Ranger Silwin H. Denson

Membership Fees

Yearly dues are as follows:

$5.00 for Active Members

$5.00 for Associate Members

$8.00 for New Members

Please Note that the cost for the meals are separate and apart from the dues.
